“Chef Myron could be the “007” of the culinary word”
— Boston Business Journal.
He is the founder and president of Myron’s Fine Foods, Inc., a Millers Falls MA based product development and marketing company focused on Asian style marinades and sauces. CHEF MYRON’S brand is distributed to both the retail, food service and value added food product manufacturing markets. The sauces have gained wide recognition as the premium in their category.
Chef Myron first learned the secrets of Japanese sauces in the early ‘60s while serving near Yokohama with the US Navy/NSG, a branch of the National Security Agency. Using his “spy consciousness” he hid behind trashcans in Yokohama restaurants gathering intelligence on the preparation of their coveted recipes. Throughout the ‘80s & ‘90s Myron used this experience as the chef/owner of a Japanese style Yakitori House food concession, “Myron’s No. 1 Yakitori” a foodie’s destination at many large music and art festivals.
Myron holds academic degrees from the University of Massachusetts in clinical/counseling psychology and food service management from the Dept. of Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration. He has been an executive chef of several well-respected restaurants working his way up the line and later, with his wife Kathy created a popular and sought after catering business. He is a fount of Pacific Rim culinary knowledge. He recently won a nation wide recipe contest produced by the Japanese Rice Growers Council as part of the Japanese television documentary “Gohan in NY” and was featured in a prime time cooking program (“Kyo no Ryori Taisho”) on NHK, Japanese public television.
As Executive Chef for the past 38 years for an annual epicurean wild game feast and a life long avid fisherman and hunter, Myron has had the opportunity to cook just about anything that is shot or caught. This motivated Myron to develop MYRON’S 20 GAUGE WILD GAME & FISH SAUCE which is sold internationally and is widely considered by culinary professionals and the sporting community as the most effective bottled game marinade available. Chef Myron’s mission is to create products that empower people to prepared tastier food more easily and quickly and teach and enable folks to prepare extraordinary meals from their wild game and fish.
Chef Myron has also done stints as a therapist/counselor, fishing guide and musician. Rumor has it that he plays a mean blues and bluegrass harmonica.
